A: Illumination can be a great effect for face recognition software. Brillertek has a unique image pre-processing program to decrease the illumination’s impact to the environment; therefore you’ll be able to login under different lighting environment.
a3. Does wearing glasses have impact on verification process?
A: Normal eyewear has no significant impact on face recognition, but some sunglasses may cause some troubles when login because they cover your eyes.
a4. Will make-up or different hair-style affect the verification process?
A: Normal make-ups have no effect for the verification process. As to hair-style, as long as you do not cover your eyebrows, verification should be fine as well.

b3. After I installed the software, why does the screen show a message box “Unable to obtain user’s Windows account! Please go to Control Panel to check user account information.”?
A: Usually this message will appear when there is a computer system error, please go to Control Panel user account, set up a correct user account and password, and then reinstall FaceAether™.
b4. Why can’t I use the original fingerprint login system after I installed FaceAether™?
A: When FaceAether™ is installed on Windows XP, it will replace user’s original login system (e.g. Fingerprint, Smart Card and other face recognition system… etc).
b5. Why am I unable to launch FaceAether™ Configuration when I remove the prerequisites? (Prerequisites: Visual C++ 2005/2008 Redistributable)
A: FaceAether™ requires Visual C++ 2005/2008 to operate. If, for any reason, the prerequisites are removed, press F8 when you reboot to enter Safe Mode and uninstall FaceAether™. Then restart your computer and enter Windows to reinstall the software. FaceAether™ Configuration then can be operated.

A: Sorry, FaceAether doesn’t support Windows OS 64-bit yet. We’ll make it public when the program’s ready.

c1. What is the difference between FaceAether and other similar face recognition software?
A: Brillertek’s R & D team has established FaceAether from the original idea to developing to testing. Simply with a webcam, you can immediately use this user-friendly face recognition software to replace the password login.
c2. Can someone login with my picture?
A: Our testing result has confirmed that it is very difficult to log in by photos if the template is built in person. However, if users are still concerned about the security, it is recommended to set the level of recognition as "professional."
c3. Can we login with printed photo?
A: As explained in the above question, printed photo does not have good quality, which is even more difficult for FaceAether to verify.
c4. Can my look-alike sibling login by using my template?
A: It depends on how much you two look alike. We would recommend a higher recognition level setting to increase the level of security.
c5. Would twins be able to login by using each other’s template?
A: Yes. The solution to this is to set the security at professional level or build the template with special posture or expression. For example, place your finger somewhere on your face while building the template.
c6. Does user need to build different template in different locations?
A: Our unique image pre-processing program allows users to be able to login in different locations by only build one facial template.
c7. Will people from different ski colors be able to use this program?
A: Our system has been tested with people from different countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Southeast Asia, and Middle East, and we did not have issues with this matter.
c8. Will make-up or different hair-style affect the verification process?
A: Daily normal make-up will have no effect for the verification process. For the hair-style, as long as you do not cover your eyebrows, the verification will be fine.
